The visit took place in the context of tight EU-China relations, deepened by Beijing's support for Russia and a immense trade deficit of Poland – 3.6 billion EUR of exports compared to 51.1 billion imports in 2024. The main origin is the influx of Chinese cars, while Beijing maintains restrictions on Polish beef and poultry.
