Among the ruins, hope for a fresh life

It has been a year since the fall of Bashar al-Assad's bloody regime. The overthrow of the dictator ended the 14-year civilian war. Syria has massively celebrated regained freedom, but the country remains divided and the situation of the population is very difficult. 16.5 million people – over 2/3 of the Syrian population – request very urgent humanitarian assistance.
