Reminiscence of Solidarnych2010 on Fr Stanisław Malkowski
date:17 September 2026 Editor: Editorial
On 7 September 2026 our chaplain, friend and our large spiritual support in the conflict for the memory and fact of Smolensk left for the Father's House.

His MPs to the first volume of “Smolensk Anthology. 96 Poems" (2015) titled “lost to conquer with the power of truth”; he always spoke the truth, even erstwhile it was uncomfortable or dangerous.
He most likely celebrated the first Mass in the intention of the Smolensk bombing victims, due to the fact that it was an assassination, he spoke from the beginning. The news of the death of the Polish delegation going to Katyń was found in the Hospice “Res sacra miser”, where he served as a pastoral minister and where in the interior chapel he had already celebrated Mass on April 10, 2010 with a desire for God to bring good out of this evil.
The next day, in a speech to the tv studio other the Presidential Palace in Krakowskie Przedmieście, in mention to the words of St John Paul II, spoken after the martyrdom of Blessed George Popieluszko: “I will pray that good will grow out of this death, just as the resurrection from the cross” he said that he prayed that from these Smolenian deaths in the service of truth, memory and hope will grow out of the power of the cross.
He was aware of the behaviour preceding the crime, the way it was done and the way it was lied and its effects (to this day!). He was convinced of the criminal association against Poland by 3 factors: the eastern, the interior and the western, and this 3 covenant creates strength on the side of evil against weakness on the side of good. His words.
After the Smolensk disaster, in the summertime of 2010, he participated in assemblies and presided over evening prayers in front of the Presidential Palace in Warsaw. On August 3, 2010, he dedicated the alleged Smolensk Cross, which in April 2010 was presented by Polish scouts before the monument of Prince Joseph Poniatowski. Many times he visited Solidarnych 2010 in Krakowskie Przedmieście, participated in many crucial events organized by the Association of Solidarni 2010 – in the fight for the fact and memory of Smolensk, as well as in the memory of Soldiers cursed during the 45N Appeal of Memory at the Brodnowski Cemetery during the ceremony on 1 March. Always ready to aid in the good cause, always on the watch of God's commandments and beloved Homeland.
We have missed him very much in fresh years, during the monthly Smolensk Memorial Marches, in which he has continued to walk with us for years, frequently in the snow and touring. erstwhile he lacked strength and health, we thanked him for his faithful respective years of service as Solidarny 2010.
In the last 193 March, on September 10 we remembered the character of this extraordinary priest, humble, quiet – a man of large heart, in which he always had God, fellows and Homeland.
His words spoken immediately after the Smolensk tragedy are not only a motto to the first Smolensk Anthology, it is the support and strength for the Solidist 2010 to this day:
"I pray that out of these Smolensk deaths in the service of truth, memory and hope good will grow--the power of the cross."
We do not bid you farewell, our dear Priest Stas. You are and will stay in our hearts and memories.
We know that you have not abandoned us, and Tam, at the Throne of God the Father, you intercede for Poland and for us.
