Orlen and the WB Group signed a cooperation agreement aimed at strengthening the protection of critical infrastructure, in peculiar maritime infrastructure of strategical importance for the energy safety of Poland.
The agreement of 2 Polish companies includes the improvement and implementation of modern technological solutions and the exchange of expertise between companies.

– Orlen is of strategical importance for the safety not only of Poland, but of the full region. Our goal is to guarantee a unchangeable energy supply. So that we can do this, it is crucial to have the physical and digital safety of our assets. This is peculiarly crucial these days. The cooperation of 2 Polish companies enables the implementation of modern technological solutions, which increase the resilience of critical infrastructure. This is an example of an effective combination of competences in the area of safety and technology, and at the same time an crucial step in building the strength of Polish industry," stressed Ireneusz Fąfara, president of Orlen.
Cooperation shall focus on the challenges related to infrastructure security, peculiarly at sea. It includes the implementation of innovative unmanned systems, investigating of advanced monitoring technologies and the exchange of expertise between Orlen teams and the WB Group. The Parties shall besides plan to implement joint R & D projects and training to enhance the competence of the teams liable for safety of Orlen.

The agreement aims at long-term cooperation to improve the safety of Orlen's assets and to build and make critical infrastructure safety competences. The partnership includes prevention, education, information, expert analyses and another initiatives to improve the safety of the infrastructure belonging to the Orlen Group.
