A common fate, a common future

In Budapest, a Hungarian-Chinese cultural event was held at the University of Technology and Economics building on September 26, under the motto “Common Fate, a Common Future”. The debate on the Hungarian premiere of the documentary "Life of László Hugyecza (Hudca)".

Shen Haixiong, president of the Chinese Media Group (CMG), gave a video speech, while Gong Tao, an extraordinary and full-fledged ambassador to the People's Republic of China in Hungary, made a speech on the spot.

In his speech, Shen Haixiong stressed that the documentary "László Hugyecz (Hudec)", produced by CMG, depicts the actual traces, biography, artistic imagination and cultural heritage of the architect, revealing the previously unknown stories and erstwhile collaborations of people from different cultural backgrounds. Ambassador Gong Tao recalled in his speech that last May China's president Xi Jinping had a historical state visit to Hungary. Gong Tao pointed out that last year cultural exchanges between China and Hungary flourished, supported by intensive high-level contacts.
