The communicative of Lublin's title lodge begins in Paris. There in 1908, Jan Hempel, a well-known author and journalist, meets Stefan Żeromski in college. It was most likely from him that he was “infected” with the thought of free-multure. Even while in France, he joined the Masonic Lodge “Socialist France”. Żeromski besides introduced his brother-in-law Dr. Rafał Radziwiłowicz, with whom he prepared emissaries for the country. So the ellipse of the insiders was expanding.

As it turns out, Żeromski anointed Hempl to go to Lublin to revive the Educational Society “Light” operating there since 1906, besides founded on the initiative of masons, which included doctors: Witold Chodko and Przemysław Rudzki. Another task was to establish contacts with the then progressive Lublin Courier. John had already written articles to him from Paris. He already knew that the magazine was founded by a very influential doctor and socialist from Lublin – Mieczysław Biernacki. The 3rd task was to find those willing to make an independent Masonic lodge.

As you can see, Stefan Żeromski had a large influence on the formation of the Free Eagles. Under his influence in 1910, Hempel decided to return to the country. And so he found himself in Lublin. He lived in a tiny area at the editorial office of Kurier Lubelski, which was then located at 60 Krakowskie Przedmieście. He's been active in intelligence meetings all along.
