The temporary crossing over Biała Głuchołaska was created thanks to the engagement of engineering troops. This is the first of respective bridges to be built by soldiers in areas destroyed by floods as part of Operation Feniks.

Flooding in the Deaf

Two days after the flood, military specialists from the 2nd Inowroclaw Engineering Regiment appeared in the Deaf. 4 peculiar groups have arrived. 2 roads, 1 bridge and a reconnaissance group, examining the needs for building bridges throughout the flood area, not just in the Deaf. Including Inowrocław, 70 soldiers were assigned to the water-damaged area. We found a dramatic situation. The streets were full of rubble, garbage and mud borne by water – says Colonel Arkadiusz Syrocki, deputy commander of 2 pinz, commanding engineering groups.
After clearing the site, soldiers of the bridge group of the Inowrocławski regiment began the assembly of bridge bays from the delivered elements of the DMS-65 kind construction on 7 October. 23 soldiers were active in the assembly work. any of them received written thanks today.
