Direct contact – definitely yes, but besides encouraging young people to service in uniform through social media. Military recruiters participated in workshops on methods of effective communication and promotion during recruitment to the army. They learned, among others, how to adjust the transmission to groups possibly curious in the WP service and how to execute in front of the camera.
Workshop on "modern forms of communication and usage of promotion in recruitment to the Polish Army" was held from 16 to 18 October in Rzeszów. The training was attended by soldiers from military recruitment centers and out-of-town centres of the Central Military Recruitment Centre, who they advance service, recruitment and contacts with media representatives.
During the classes, recruiters honed, among others, the skills of "adapting forms of transmission to a given mark group". – The leaders pointed to predispositions and values that are most crucial to individual recipients. They stressed their common features and differences and thus explained how to prepare an effective message to encouraging service in the military – explains Major Renata Mycio, a spokesperson for the Central Military Recruitment Centre.
The spokeswoman points out that it is different to talk to people who practice sports actively, who care about physical fitness or about military interests, history, or with individual who has no cognition of the military. Recruiting online and social media is different, for example at mobile recruitment points or in stationary centres. – An effective recruiter should know what mechanisms to apply to influence them, depending on the location and group of recipients, showing the advantages and benefits of military service, convinces Major Renata Mycio.
Therefore, as part of the exercises, recruiters trained skills useful both during promotional campaigns conducted in conventional media as well as in fresh communication channels: social media or more – online. During classes, for example, they learned how to execute publicly. This was peculiarly actual of the speech in front of the camera and the microphone, which requires a peculiar brevity and control of the stage.
From behind the desk and more
The task of recruiters' soldiers is to scope the mark group as wide as possible, i.e. people aged 18 to 35. In military recruitment centers, anyone curious in the Army's professional way will be given full information on how to join the Army, and what are the terms of this service. It will take up to 2 days for those willing to service in the army to complete all the formalities. At the military recruitment center, the individual afraid will apply, will be included in the military records, will be given a decision on the ability to serve. There are 86 recruitment centers all over the country. They are open from Monday to Friday from 7.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. (in 1 day a week until 6 p.m.) and at each first Saturday of the month.
The recruiters' soldiers are not waiting for candidates, they're just sitting at the desk. Mobile recruitment points are organized during public events involving the military. Soldiers besides invitation to meetings, during which they inform about all roads leading to the army – voluntary essential military service, territorial defence troops or professional service.

Regardless of whether recruitment is conducted on the net or on a fixed basis, interpersonal skills of recruiters are inactive the most important. It's up to their ability to convince, to make contact, to focus the attention of the caller that depends most. – The most effective form of recruitment remains the direct contact of the recruiter soldier with the candidate. The talk about military service conducted by experienced soldiers will accurately present opportunities for development, but will besides make it clear the difficulties associated with it," says Major Mycio.
The Army Is increasing Popular
Service and career in the army is simply a choicewhich is decided by more and more young people. “The number of volunteers is growing, which we are very pleased with and confirms the effectiveness of military recruiters,” says Major Renata Mycio.
In 2022, more than 16,000 volunteers began training as part of the voluntary primary military service, and in 2023 the number increased to over 43,000. By the end of September, nearly 37 000 volunteers (primary training and specialist training) were appointed for training. A large number of recruits, after serving in the primary service, decide to tie their careers with the military. From 2022 to the end of September 2024, more than 29,500 soldiers from DZW to professional military service.
The popularity of training as part of voluntary essential military service has led the Ministry of Defence to increase its vocation limit by as much as 10 000 for this year (to 44 550).
