This year's edition of the Warsaw European Open was organized in the arena of the Center for Activation and Social Integration in Grodzisk Mazowiecki. In the event of the European Judo Tour and the planet Ranking conducted by the global Judo Federation, 320 players from 27 countries and 4 continents competed. The medals were won by representatives of 11 countries. The French triumphed in the medal classification of the event, who won six gold discs, 2 silver ones and 7 bronze ones. The second place in the tournament was taken by Arlet Podolak (cat. to 57 kg), King Wolszczak (cat. +78 kg) and Wiktor Mrówczyński (cat. to 73 kg). The gold medalist from the “arm of champions” in the final duel defeated Italian – her rival was Kenya Perna. On the another hand, Podolak lost in the final to French Ophelie Vellozzi, Wolszczak with Italian Tiziana Marini, and Mrówczyński defeated Frenchman Orlando Cazorla.
