The war with Iran is getting closer to Poland. Romania will make America available

President Nicosor Dan announced on Wednesday that Romania would make its bases available to US Air Force, participating in an operation against Iran. He stressed that they would be unarmed machines of "defensive" nature, performing observation, communication and logistics missions.

We are talking about tankers, monitoring equipment and satellite communications (...) It's defence equipment that doesn't carry ammunition. said Dan, quoted by Reuter's agency. He added that the deployment of these troops would strengthen Romanian safety and is in line with the cooperation between Bucharest and Washington.

The decision to make the bases available on Wednesday was adopted by the Government Committee, which was liable for national defence and safety (CSAT) and Parliament. The adoption of the decision in the parliament was accompanied by a stormy debate and loud opposition from part of the opposition – the Euronews Romania portal reported.

Until recently, about 2,000 American soldiers were stationed in Romania.
