Russian-Ukrainian War (as of morning 30.12.2025):
- On the Zaporo section, the Russians occupied the key village of Lukianiwski. They keep coming east trying to wing Orichiw.
- The Ukrainian counterattack under Dobropilia ended in the failure of respective tanks.
- There are dense fights going on over the centre of Novova.
- On the Siwierski episode, the Russians were attacking Rizykiwka. Further north, the defence of Dibrowa village collapsed.
- On the Liman section, Bohusławka fell by the Oskił River with the spoil of Russian forces.
- Vladimir Putin signed a decree establishing an all-year draft. According to estimates, in 2026 more than 250,000 people between the ages of 18 and 30 are scheduled to be recruited. Earlier, the drafts were seasonal. Thanks to the change, the authorities want to avoid unpopular mobilization in connection with the war in Ukraine.
