Russian-Ukrainian War (as of morning 21.03.2026):
- Russia carried out another wave of massive drone attacks (typically respective dozen–over 100 cameras). Ukrainian anti-aircraft defence intercepted most of the targets, but reported hits on energy infrastructure and industrial facilities. Main air strikes focused on central Ukraine and the front areas; a permanent pattern of attacks on the energy strategy and logistics facilities is visible.
Ukrainian tactics have changed. "The Armed Forces of Ukraine prioritise attacks on Russian artillery, drone operators and logistics in the close back. A separate run aims to weaken Russian air defense, which allows free demolition of valuable enemy resources," the American ISW reported. As proof of the effectiveness of the fresh model of operation, the institute considered the fresh demolition of the Russian Ka-52 assault helicopter, worth $16 million.
- Russian activity in the confederate section (Zaporoze/Hulajpole) is increasing, which may be binding and preparatory for possible wider engagements.
- On the Kostiantini section, the Russians occupied the village of Pawliwka.
- On the Slavic section, Russian forces captured a heavy reinforced trench complex, located north of the Kaleniki village.
- Ukraine continues diplomatic efforts to increase the supply of air defence systems and ammunition, highlighting the increasing scale of Russian attacks. Western states keep support for Ukraine, but its dynamics remains dependent on the global situation and another crises (especially in the mediate East).
