Russian-Ukrainian War (as of morning 20.03.2026):

  • Russia continued massive air strikes utilizing strike drones and rockets; Ukrainian anti-aircraft defence intercepted a large part of the targets, but reported hits to energy and industrial infrastructure in respective regions. The main air strikes refocused on central and northern Ukraine (including the Kiev area), as well as in the operational base in the country.
  • Ukraine continues long-range strikes in Russia; drone attacks include logistical, fuel and military targets, including front-front regions and deeper facilities.
  • Russian troops proceed the tactics of gradual force (the creeping offensive), utilizing tiny assault groups supported by artillery and drones; insignificant tactical shifts have been reported but no breach. Ukrainian forces, in turn, lead active defence and local counterattacks, especially in sections at hazard of breach; these actions are limited in nature, geared towards inflicting losses.
  • On the Pokrów section, the Russians reached north of Hryszyne. They crossed the River Second Jar and approached the fortified village of Novooleksandriwka.
  • To the west of Kostiantiniwka, Russian forces took over the northern part of the village of Nowopawliwka.
  • Ukrainians counterattacked in the Jaru Times area, breaking the Russian defence in Red Town.
  • The Russians have taken a fresh effort at the Cupan occupation. There are fierce fighting for the northern part of the city.
  • Ukraine continues to intensively search to increase the supply of air defence systems and ammunition, highlighting the increasing scale of Russian air strikes.
  • There are signs of further adaptation of the Russian economy to war conditions, including shifting resources to military production and reducing civilian spending.
