Russian-Ukrainian War (as of morning 17.05.2025):
- On the Zaporosian section, the Russians approach Kamianski.
- In confederate Donbasa the defence of the village of Vilnius Pole collapsed. The battles for neighbouring Zelene Pole and Newpil continue.
- On the fresh Bolivian section, Russian forces captured a large area of fields close Nowoserhivka.
- There are ongoing attacks on the Pokrovsk flanks and city bombings. It becomes increasingly apparent that Pokrowsk is the main mark of this year's Kremlin land offensive.
- Under Kostiantinivka, Ukrainians hastily build a fresh defence line, between Katerinivka and Oleksandro-Sultyne. They anticipate to lose immense areas south of Oleksandro-Kalyn.
- During talks in Istanbul, delegations established 1 of the largest prisoners' exchanges of this war against 1,000 for 1,000. The Russians did not agree to ceasefire. They demanded the withdrawal of the Ukrainians from the remaining territories under their control of the 4 circuits (Christian, Zaporo, Donetsk, Lugansk). They besides announced that Russia would be able to wage war for years and, in the absence of an agreement, would besides join the Suma and Charkowski circuits.
