Russian-Ukrainian War (as of morning 17.03.2026):

  • Russia continues massed air strikes on Ukraine's base, utilizing a combination of drones and rockets. These actions are part of the strategy of continuous force on infrastructure and cities that has been applied for months.
  • Ukraine attacked the Russian capital with about 500 drones. However, the losses are small.
  • The Ukrainians managed to destruct the Russian oil depot in Labinsk in the south of the country.
  • There is intense bombing and attacks on the Zaporosian section. Russian forces are attacking Wozdroszywka, in order to exit the rear of Orichov's defense.
  • Little Russian advancement around Hryszyne in the Pokrów section.
  • On the sumic front, the Russians invaded the border village Potapivka and entered the city of Myropilia.
  • Diplomatic efforts on peace negotiations stay stagnant; 1 of the main reasons is the parallel global crisis in the mediate East, which limits the engagement of the US and parts of Western countries. Russia continues its strategy of combining military force with political and diplomatic pressure, counting on the fatigue of the West and Ukraine war. Furthermore, thanks to the Iranian War, Moscow began earning gigantic amounts in oil trade, which will let it to proceed fighting for years to come.
