Russian-Ukrainian War (as of morning 16.02.2026):
Ukraine struck drones at the Russian port of Taman on the Black Sea. Fires in fuel systems and injured civilians have been reported. In turn, Russian counterparts fell, among others, in Odski Oblast, causing harm to infrastructure and subsequent power outages.
- Another Ukrainian drone attack was directed at Moscow. Anti-aircraft defence was active above the city.
In the last day, about 205 combat clashes were recorded in Donbasa. The Russians usage drones, artillery “fireboat” and gliders. The strategical nonsubjective is to break the defence line and open the road to the Slavic–Kramatorsk direction.
- On the Zaporo section, the Russians one more time took control of Primorskie and Lukianiwskie. It's heading north towards Komysuwachy.
- On the Slavic section, there are dense fights over the powerfully strengthened Ukrainian village of Riznakiwka.
- On the Kharkiv Front, Russian forces entered Unproductive.
- The Ukrainians succeeded in stabilising the situation between Hulaipol and the Greater Mikhalivka. This was at the expense of a number of counterattacks and large losses, but in respective places the Russians were forced to retreat (e.g. in Prywilla). Currently, both armies are preparing for fresh clashes.
Preparations are underway for the next US-Ukraine-Russia talks, planned in the coming days in Geneva. president Volodymyr Zelenski declares his willingness to compromise. At the same time, Ukraine has intensive diplomatic contacts, including talks on energy support in Munich.
