Russian-Ukrainian War (as of morning 08.01.2026):
- As a consequence of Russian drone attacks, there is no electricity in the dniepropetrovsk and Zaporosian circuits. The event affected the functioning of hospitals, collective transport and mobile networks.
- On the Zaporozhic section, the Russians occupied the northern Primorese part, approaching the suburb of Zaporozhia.
- The last Ukrainian troops withdrew from Hulaipola. Currently, battles are already taking place from Staroukrainka, located 3 km west of the city.
- Under Kostiantinsk there are hard fights over the village of Berestok.
- Ukrainians counterattacked, recovering the southeast part of Lima.
- On the Buyan section, Russian forces one more time seized Kindrashivka.
- The United States took over a Russian ship – a Mariner tanker (Bella-1), on which American armed forces entered the Atlantic Ocean. Reports confirmed the U.S. Army European Command.
