Russian-Ukrainian War (as of morning 07.01.2026):

  • Due to the vacation period and adverse weather, the fighting on most sections of the front slowed down.
  • Ukrainians sent over 200 long-range drones to Russian territory. Most of them were attacking Moscow. According to the Kremlin, they were all knocked down before reaching the capital.
  • On the Zaporosian section, Ukrainians were expelled from about half of the village of Nowjakawliwka.
  • Small, Russian advancement on the east flank of Nowopawliwka.
  • Under Rajhorodek, the Russians destroyed the Ukrainian Pontoon Bridge, built on the river Donet Siwierski. This hampered the logistics of the Lebanese section.
  • North of Kupansk, Russian forces one more time seized the village of Kindrashivka, from which they were vaporized by Ukrainians 2 weeks ago. To the south of the city, attacks on Kisharivka began.
  • On the Kharkiv Front, the Russians led a limited attack on the Volchansk village of Chutory.
  • Emmanuel Macron, Keir Starmer and Volodymyr Zelenski signed a memorandum in Paris concerning the planned deployment of multinational alliance troops in Ukraine after a possible truce with Russia.
