On 22 October 2025, regional rescue exercises under the code name "Leżajsk 2025" were held in the gravel pit in Łętowice (Lajajski area). Their decision-making part was attended by a typical of the 20th Industrial Defence Brigade.

Officer of the 20th Przemysl Territorial Defence Brigade took part as an observer in the decision-making game organized as part of the rescue exercises "Leżajsk 2025", carried out in the scope of the comprehensive task "PODKARPAcie 2025" - organized by the Podkarpackie Voivodeship. The full task was carried out in the area of the Lzeza County, and its aim was to improve the cooperation of rescue services, public administration and troops in crisis situations.
During the decision-making game, participants measured in improving the skills of crisis management teams in estimating the flood hazard in the San River area (powiats: industry, Yarosławski and luzajski) and planning aid and evacuation actions.
Practical actions included, among others, the usage of modern technologies to defender shafts, the construction and strengthening of protective shafts, the evacuation of persons at risk, for which various floating measures were used.

- I'm sorry. Participation in this kind of exercises allows us to better realize the needs and manner of operation of partners from the state safety strategy in the area of the voivodship. Joint planning and exchange of experience are crucial to respond effectively to situations of real danger - emphasized the 20 PBOT soldier taking part in the exercise.
On the another hand, the Podkarpackie voivode Teresa Kubas-Hul said, "Leżajsk 2025" is an excellent example of effective cooperation between services liable for the safety of the inhabitants of the region. Checking procedures, equipment and coordination under realistic conditions allows better preparation for crisis situations, including flood risks. I thank all participants for their professionalism, commitment and readiness to act for the safety of residents of Podkarpacie."
Crisis exercises are essential to guarantee effective consequence to emergency situations. They let to check the readiness of services, institutions and personnel to act, verify crisis management plans and identify any organisational or method shortcomings. Through regular exercises, cooperation between safety actors can be improved, as well as increased awareness and certainty of the participants in real crisis situations.
