Italian State railway operator Ferrovie dello Stato (FS, State Railways) explores the anticipation of utilizing the Starlink satellite communication strategy in its future projects — Bloomberg reports, citing an operator spokesman.
Matteo Salvini, Italian Minister of Transport, Deputy Prime Minister and Liga organization leader, said in March that if Italy uses Starlink's satellite communications systems, trains will not be interrupted during telephone calls.
"Ewentual experiments (which could include – ed.) Starlink satellites for group companies' projects are assessed and analysed," said Bloomberg Agency spokesperson for the state railway operator.
