During his visit to the Estonian Air Base Amari, the Italian defence minister Guido Crosetto announced further strengthening of Estonian airspace. According to the Minister's latest announcement, the Italian anti-aircraft defence set SAMP/T (Sol-Air Moyenne Portée Terrestre) will stay in Estonia for about six months. This means that the Italians will strengthen Tallinn at least until next spring. It is besides worth noting that the monitoring of aircraft flying over Estonian territory is to be carried out by an early informing aircraft with a radar system.
