Italy will spend more on artillery

The Italians have been searching for a successor to their towed haubic FH70 for many years ([which are now, at least in part, undergoing modernization](https://defence24.pl/power-arms/wlosi-starting-modernizations-its-artillery)) in order to get in their place a solution with much better combat parameters (e.g. with a 52 caliber barrel) and wheel traction. The value of the full programme is EUR 1.81 billion with spending between 2025 and 2034. The first phase of the task secured funds worth €202 million for which the first batch of the division will be acquired, along with logistics facilities and training and ammunition packages.
