On the sixth day of the mediate East War, the head of the Italian Defence Ministry Guido Crosetto stated that "the situation is dramatic".
– I am convinced that in fresh decades we have never reached the edge of the abyss as we are now - he added.
– For years Russian nationalists have been asking Putin to usage tactical atomic weapons against Ukraine, and in an age of specified chaos, this may enable him to make a choice that he would never make under average conditions," Crosetto said.
A fewer hours earlier in the Chamber of Deputies, the minister announced raising to the level of the highest readiness for air and anti-balistic defence, in coordination with NATO allies.
– In the face of unthinkable reactions we can anticipate everything – Crosetto admitted.
