Italian Minister of Environment and Energy safety Gilberto Pichetto Fratin said on Wednesday that Italy could restart any coal power plants if the current armed conflict in the mediate East triggered an energy crisis.
– Italy has coal power plants that I would not like to restart, but they are in reserve to defend our country," said the minister in a tv interview.
Yesterday in Rome there was a gathering with the government of Giorgia Meloni and the CEOs of energy companies on the possible consequences of the current war in the mediate East and the prevention of them.
