The delegation of the National Museum of Technology met with representatives of the Końskie Municipality Office. During the visit, the employees of the Office presented the advancement of the renovation work carried out in the mill and pudding plant in Sielpi Wielkie built between 1838 and 1842, which the pre-war Museum of Technology and manufacture took care of in 1934, creating the Museum of the Old Poland Basin. It was the first conservation facility of this kind in Poland. The reconstruction of the roofs and the renovation of the facades of the buildings and the insulation of the foundations of the dryer have been completed so far. The work will proceed and their aim is to reconstruct the complex to visitors.
The study of the Department for the Protection of Monuments of Engineering, operating at the Museum of Technology and Industry, from the works carried out in Sielpi in 1935, says something very akin to what is now being done: “All masonry and repair works were carried out in the machinery and furnace halls, walls, vaults, window and door openings were rebuilt, roof bindings were changed, giving fresh rafters, covered with a tinted sheet of more than 1,500 m2 roofs on the full area of about 2500 m2 [...].”

We are very pleased to see the advancement of works initiated in the 1930s, by Kazimierz Jackowski, the then manager of the Museum and continued in the post-war period by the NOT Technology Museum.
