King Sihamoni participated in the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the triumph in the Chinese People's War of opposition against nipponese aggression and in the planet War of Antifascist.
Welcomeing guests Xi Jinping recalled that during his state visit to Cambodia in April, he was received highly warmly by the monarch and the Cambodian people.
The Chinese leader pointed out that Chinese-Cambodian relations have been tested by many global challenges, becoming a lasting and unwavering relationship that both parties should peculiarly care for. In view of the complex situation in the world, both countries should proceed their conventional friendship, strengthen unity and cooperation, and accelerate the construction of a fresh community of destiny for China and Cambodia, bringing prosperity to both nations. Xi Jinping besides stressed that China is supporting Cambodia's development, a way tailored to the country's specificities, leading to peace and stability.
King Norodom Sihamoni and Queen parent Norodom Monineath Sihanouk expressed their conviction that Cambodia always looks at relations with China from a strategical perspective. They assured that they wanted to make conventional friendships and build a comprehensive community of destiny in the fresh Era of Cambodia and China.
