In Vilnius, the large Feast of Divine Mercy began. It will last until 12 April in the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy, in which the altar contains the first image of Jesus the Merciful, painted according to the instructions of St. Faustina by Eugenius Kazimirowski.
For 8 days, 58 Masses will be celebrated in various languages led by Lithuanian bishops, as well as priests from abroad, asking for all the essential graces, flowing from the unfathomable Mercy of God.
Every day at 3:45 p.m., Holy Masses will be celebrated in Polish. The exception is Sunday, April 12, erstwhile Holy Masses in Polish will be celebrated at 8.30 and 35.30, and alternatively of Latka in Polish – the hr of Mercy will be celebrated at 15.00. The Vilnius Metropolitan Rev. Archbishop Gintaras Grušas will execute 2 Masses – in Lithuanian and English.
