On Thursday, Minister Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk referred to media information about possible restrictions in 800 plus. The Minister assured that any change would gotta service primarily the welfare of children.

In the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy, no restrictions on the 800 plus program are planned. There is no specified government task - said Minister Agnieszka-Dzemianowicz Bąk on Thursday. She added that adverse solutions for children would not gain her support.

The minister of family, work and social policy was asked in Onet in the morning, "why the government proposes to take 800 plus non-working Ukrainians".

Dziemianovich-Bąk replied that "there is no specified government project". She added that "so far it was just a proposal from 1 of the presidential candidates".

"We in the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy have no restrictions on the 800 plus programme" - she noted. Although, as she added, "there are any solutions that we have already introduced that are beneficial for the child, due to the fact that this is simply a top precedence issue at all - 800 plus this is simply a program for children and children to serve."

As she said, "if there is specified a correction that we associate a pay 800 plus with a school obligation, then I can only applaud it, due to the fact that it's a good thing if children go to school if they do, if they socialize." "Besides, (...), any unfavorable solutions to my support will not gain" - she noted.

The author of the thought that benefits specified as 800 plus should be paid to foreigners, provided that they live, work and pay taxes in Poland, is the candidate of KO for the president of Poland, president of Warsaw Rafał Trzaskowski. He called on the government to work on a change of law.

On January 23, Prime Minister Donald Tusk reported that the proposal to pay 800 plus only to these migrants — including Ukrainians — who meet these criteria would be dealt with urgently by the government. The head of KPRM Jan Grabić added that the task is being developed by the Ministry of abroad Affairs. There is besides a draft amendment in the Sejm.

In mid-February, the head of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration Tomasz Siemoniak reported that the ministry adopted a work plan on the task in this case, and the full process will require changes in respective twelve different laws.

As of 1 September 2024, all children from Ukraine surviving in Poland are subject to the work of education in the Polish school, i.e. the yearly pre-school preparation in the alleged “Zerika”, the work of school in the primary school, the work of learning in secondary schools. Families from Ukraine can receive a household benefit of 800 plus and Good Start, provided their children attend Polish school.

There is 1 exception to this rule: in the school year 2024/2025 students studying in the program class of the highest in the school operating in the Ukrainian education strategy are not obliged to attend Polish schools. They can complete their education in an online formula. (PAP)
