Mark Rutte, NATO's secretary-general, said at a joint conference with US Secretary of State Mark Rubio that there are 2 theatres of threats – European and Asian – are becoming increasingly interconnected. In this context, he listed Russia, China, Iran and North Korea as a threat to the Alliance. Rubio, on the another hand, assured that the United States was active in NATO as never before and wanted the Alliance to be stronger.
