According to the Swedish paper [‘Dagens Nyheter’](https://www.dn.se/direkt/2026-02-06/har-ar-krigsfartyget-saab-vill-salja-til-sverige/), Saaba's chances of winning a Luleå multipurpose frigate for the Swedish Navy (Sevenska marinen) are increasing. In 2023, Saab [signed an agreement](https://www.babcockinternational.com/news/babcock-signs-strategic-cooperation-agreement-with-saab/) on strategical cooperation with British company Babcock. The intention was to usage the circumstantial competences of both companies in maritime projects. A year later, companies joined [closer cooperation](https://www.babcockinternational.com/news/babcock-in-cooperation-with-saab-for-the-swedish-navys-future-surface-combatants/) in a ship program for Svenska marinan. The consequence is adapted to the Swedish requirements of the task frigate [Arrowhead 120](https://www.saab.com/newsroom/stories/2024/may/saab-in-cooperation-with-babcock-for-the-swedish-navys-future-surface-combatants), whose concept has been presented in fresh days.
