Today, the Greek rocket artillery is based on Czechoslovak RM-70 multiple rocket launchers. 122 mm cannons in the number of about 105 and 36 tracked M270s. Both solutions are now obsolete in any respects and should be modernized, at least partially, e.g. by acquiring more modern effectors. In the case of the RM-70, this would let to increase the scope from 20 km (in the case of the classical 122 mm rocket ammunition) to even 40 km. However, this is where the possible improvement with the presently utilized ammunition ends. However, the Indian proposal to upgrade the Greek RM-70s to the Pinaka standard would let for a crucial increase in the combat capabilities of the crews serving on them. In the case of the firing scope itself, we are talking about improving this parameter to 60/75, and in the future 90/120 km (more than the missiles utilized so far). However, this involves changing the caliber of the launchers and missiles to 100mm missiles. 214 mm.
