Will the Germans return to the conscription? “This is what awaits all countries in Europe”

The staffing situation in the Bundeswehr remains difficult, despite efforts to increase its size. The head of the Ministry of defence Boris Pistorius has again started the debate on the restoration of compulsory military service. Although this thought is warmly spoken by the opposition CDU/CSU, in the organization of Minister Pistorius (SPD), as well as in the government coalition, the majority are against it. To reconstruct any form of compulsory service, however, Germany and another European countries may be forced by the realities of security.
