The Germans will return to the draft? "It awaits all countries in Europe"

The human resources situation in the Bundeswehr remains hard despite efforts to increase its size. The head of the Ministry of Defence Boris Pistorius resumed the debate on the restoration of compulsory military service. Although this thought is warmly expressed by the opposition CDU/CSU, in the organization of Minister Pistorius (SPD) as well as in the government coalition most of them are against it. However, Germany and another European countries may force safety to reconstruct a form of compulsory service.
