The fresh TK judges will cut Nawrock's nose? They invited him to... their own vow

Karol Nawrocki accepted a vow from only 2 of the six judges elected by the Sejm to the Constitutional Court. Now the another 4 are to curse in the building at Wiejska Street. They invited the president of the Republic.

On 1 April, Karol Nawrocki invited 2 fresh judges to the Presidential Palace: Magdalena Bentkowska and Dariusz Szostak. They took a vow in the presence of the head of state. Questions arose immediately, what with the rest: Krystian Markiewicz, Anna Korwin-Piotrowska, Maciej Taborowski and Marcin Dziurda.

This was explained by KPRP chief Zbigniew Bogucki.– First, delight note the chronology. The president of Poland was sworn in on 6 August 2025 and 2 vacancyes after the oath expired, i.e. in the word of office of president Nawrocki 2 vacancyes in the Constitutional Court were emptied. The president considered that this was the primary work of his as head of state, but besides within the framework of the mandate held since 6 August, to fill these 2 vacancyes," he argued.

– This reasoning is illogical due to the fact that it leads to the conclusion that 4 places can never be filled. This is contrary to the rules of functioning of the State. There is besides no basis in constitutions or laws – he explained in "The Conversation on the Subject" by Przemysław Rosati.

The jury's vows to the TK invited... Navrocki

Now there's a turn in the case. The oath of the 4 remaining judges elected to the Constitutional Court is due on Thursday (9 April) at 12:30 in the Sejm. RMF FM station found out about this.

Interestingly, it was besides established that "the judges themselves are organizing the ceremony and sent invitations to president Karol Nawrocki present to vow".

What precisely did that "invite" include? "These are just 2 paragraphs in which the judges who have been waiting to be sworn in for the 4th week remind that so far they have not received an invitation to take a vow before the President. As they explain due to the fact that they consider taking a vow as their duty, they organize the oath themselves. The second paragraph of the writings is the invitation of the President, who according to the law is the recipient of the vows," we read.

Żurek struck Nawrocki after the decision of the judges

Let us add that this case has already sparked a stir among politicians, especially in the Ministry of Justice. Waldemar Żurek besides commented on this. He referred to the controversial past of the president of Poland.

"The Sejm selected six TK judges. The president only took a vow from two. Not due to the fact that that's the law. Just due to the fact that he thought of it. The Constitution is clear. The judges of the TK choose the Sejm. The president has no right to choice them, as on the goal," wrote the lawyer General.

"This is the usurpation of competences that are NOT there. due to the fact that if the head of state can choose which rules apply – that means that the law ceases to apply to all. Mr. President, delight usage your time off to open your calendar and set a deadline. Breaking the Constitution is simply a serious matter," concluded Zurek.
