It is possible that in Polish-German relations there is simply a large problem that can overturn Warsaw's relations with Berlin. It is CDU/CSU candidates' proposals for German Chancellor Friedrich Merz on migration issues. Migration expert Gerald Knaus believes that Merz's plan is "absurd", while its implementation would be "a large mistake", which could make German relations with Poland much worse.
