Liz Truss won the vote for leader of the UK Conservative organization and will thus take up the post of head of the UK government. As a candidate, she announced an increase in national defence spending to up to 3%. GDP, but that presumption will be hard to accomplish given the state of the UK economy and the energy crisis.
