Fire training, conducting reconnaissance, defending critical infrastructure – among others, these tasks are carried out by soldiers from the 12th Wielkopolska Territorial Defence Brigade. In this formation, integrated exercises started erstwhile a year. More than half a 1000 territorials from Wielkopolska pass them on the camp in Biedrusk sub-Poznań.
Integrated training is the most crucial undertaking in the training cycle of WOT soldiers. It has – as its name suggests – to integrate all the skills acquired so far, both in terms of training an individual soldier and specialist training. Training is characterized by advanced intensity. Soldiers practice from early morning to late evening. any tasks besides take place at night.
– The main emphasis is on improving issues related to light infantry tactics and shooting training. all soldier must complete an integrated training erstwhile a year. This is surely a hard time, due to the fact that the training is intense and we besides have planned activities at night, so you gotta fight against specified aspects as acting in fatigue. I am here, watching the exercisemen all day, and I can safely say that they are doing well – said Colonel Daniel Kubas, commander of the 124th Battalion of the Light Infantry of the Silver.
Territorials from Wielkopolska are practicing, among others, blowing up enemy objects and obstacles, undergoing fire training, and their ability to last and sleep in an casual area is besides checked. It is indeed very intensive training. There is inactive something to do, all minute of this training is someway managed. The combination, fatigue, a bit of hunger, emotions, nerves, possible injuries, different characters – all of this gives us a sense of self, and the key is to work together, as in the tactical loop. The tactical loop was waiting for territorials from Wielkopolska after the first week of training. It began with a night alarm, after which soldiers in 12-member sections had to check in at a designated location, where their march with circumstantial tasks began. At subsequent checkpoints, skills specified as maintaining a correct shooting attitude, preparing radio stations for work and establishing radio communication or giving first aid to the injured were checked. Exercisers had to adjust their night march to both the topography of the area and the actions of the opponent, yet to build a night shelter in the forest from the palaces and mask them. After a short rest, they moved to the shooting scope to end the loop with a full-time weapon firing.
