On Sunday, the streets of Warsaw passed the “Great March for Animals” in which protesters objected to Karol Nawrocki's decision to veto the Act on keeping dogs trapped.

The Manifestans took part in the march to protest the President's decision to veto the amendment of the Animal Protection Act. They stressed that it was expected to improve the conditions of the dogs kept captive.

The march moved from the Seym building, and protesters chanted the slogan "Catch the chains, cast off the veto" and "Animal is not a thing." He then passed the fresh planet and Krakowskie Przedmieście up to the Presidential Palace.

Voting soon

In the justification of the veto, Karol Nawrocki claimed that the proposed provisions were unrealistic and could only harm farmers. At the same time, he announced that he would present his own task aimed at "letting dogs off the chains".

The Sejm will have the chance to reject the President's veto if a majority of 3/5 votes are obtained in the vote. It will take place next Wednesday and will have a crucial impact on the protection of animal rights.
