The Grand March on 4 June in Warsaw. Freedom, democracy, honesty

The large March on 4 June, organized in Warsaw by opposition communities, turned into a spontaneous demonstration of the right to freedom and democracy.

The event turned out to be the largest gathering in the 21st century in the capital. According to unofficial estimates, about 300 000 participants participated. If you include 2 wide spatters of people standing along the march way in Ujazdowskie Avenues, in the square of the 3 Crosses, Nowy Świat and Krakowskie Przedmieście – there could be even half a million people in the full age section. It is adequate to add that erstwhile the front of the march stood in front of the stage, set close the Sigismund Column, the participants, located in the square At the Rozdroż, were only on the 4.5 km route.

People have come from all over the country to show their attachment to the simple ideas of citizens: democracy, freedom, justice, honesty, peace – without which modern society can not do without.

If they do, only in isolated cases that do not affect the view of the whole. On the contrary, there were quite a few comic and ironic slogans created by people with a sense of humor and distance to reality.

In the photographic report, by 2 reporters, “Gazeta Trybunalska”, we deliberately limited the number of pictures of politicians, omitted their speeches, all focusing on the citizens of our republic, to make it clear that it is not politicians who are the most important, but we – the nation.

The event was organised in an almost perfect way, it drew attention to a comparatively modest number of uniformed police officers, while safety agents performed their tasks almost unnoticed.

There have been no provocations, riots, or seditions, although members of leftist organizations who in the past, disguised as defenders of democracy, were unworthy.

When crossing the historical streets of Warsaw, there were besides no rioters and screamers from the another side of the political scene who could lead to a street confrontation. In this case, the net has proven to be an excellent tool for channelling bad emotions. The real fresh planet was friendly and peaceful. Therefore, this environment should be thanked for not interfering with public policy.

At the same time, it should be hoped that, for example, the nearest Warsaw Uprising March will not be paralysed by individuals whose overriding aim is to disorganize specified rallies.

Families with children, seniors, and even cyclists felt safe. Solidarity and generosity dominated the streets of Warsaw on 4 June. The organizers have ensured unlimited access to water bottles, doctors have worked efficiently – there have been faintings – so the evaluation of the full event can only be 1 – aiming.
