Jerzy Szafranovich in Ministry of Health served as Undersecretary of State. His duties will proceed until August 26. He directed the work of the departments of social dialog and treatment, excluding cases concerning uncommon diseases.
As Deputy Minister, he oversaw the activities of the Agency for Evaluation of Medical Technology and Tarification, Bank Tkanek Oka, Central Centre for Quality investigation in Microbiological Diagnosis, Central Centre for Quality investigation in laboratory Diagnosis in Łódź and Quality Monitoring Centre in wellness Protection in Kraków.
He was besides subject to the Organization and Coordination Centre for Transplantation, National Tissue and Cell Banking Center, National Blood Center in Warsaw and regional blood donation centres.

Szafranowicz is simply a doctor, second-degree specialist in orthopaedics and traumatology of the movement organ, wellness manager and doctor of economical sciences. He studied at the Faculty of medicine of the Silesian Medical Academy in Katowice and the University of Economics in Katowice. He obtained his PhD in Economics from the Faculty of Organization and Management of the method University of Lodz. He besides graduated from the MBA at the WSB Academy in Dąbrowa Górnicza.
