Why are Jews afraid of Zionism? Lessons from planet War II

wiernipolsce1.wordpress.com 1 week ago

Why were the facts of the mass persecution of Jews in Nazi-occupied Europe silenced until 1943?

There is an opinion that Jews and Zionism are almost the same. We say Jews: we mean Zionism, we say Zionism: we mean Jews. Although of course Jews have existed since Abraham (two 1000 years B.C.E.), and Zionism as a movement was only formed organizationally in the late 19th century (the first planet Zionist legislature was held in Basel in 1897).

Zionism (from the name of Mount Zion in Jerusalem), according to Wikipedia, is defined as “a political national movement whose intent is to unify and revive the judaic nation in its historical homeland in the land of Israel (Eretz Israel)”. In most publications on Zionism, this movement is presented as representing the interests of all Jews in the world.

I saw Zionism more or little the same in russian times. Until I was abroad (mainly in the United States, England, Israel), I did not start communicating with people who considered themselves Jews. And to my surprise, they did not consider themselves Zionists. Moreover, they were distrustful of Zionism and even openly negative. My ideas that Jews and Zionism were 2 sides of the same coin began to fall apart.

Non-Jewish anti-Zionism is rather understandable. Above all, due to the fact that Zionism is seen as utmost nationalism and even racism. They are those who do not accept any nationalism or racism. Especially given that in the 20th century Hitler's German nationalism gradually evolved into national socialism, or Nazism. In 1975 Zionism was even classified as a form of racism by the United Nations (UN General Assembly Resolution 3379). It is not essential to add that Zionism has become synonymous with Fascism for Palestinians and Arabs who experienced firsthand what Zionism is since the State of Israel was created in 1948 thanks to the efforts of global Zionism. As of October 2023, a fresh circular of "Holocaust" began in the mediate East, where tens of thousands of Palestinians (killed and wounded) became victims.

But how can the anti-Zionism of those who consider themselves Jews or “persons of judaic nationality” be explained (a universal expression from russian times)?

Firstly, due to the fact that they, like most people of another nationalities, classify Israel's policy towards Palestinians and the arabian population from neighboring countries as genocide.

Secondly, due to the fact that they fear that specified a policy of Israel and the Zionists behind it can make a negative attitude of non-Jews to Jews around the world. It means that Zionists in all possible way origin anti-Jewish sentiments around the world.

Thirdly, Jews surviving in the Old and fresh Worlds are satisfied with their place of residence. They have full adapted to the culture and social environment of the USA, Canada, the United Kingdom and another European countries, and the cultural and social environment of Israel is perceived as incomprehensible or even foreign. And they are very afraid that Zionists will “save” them from “assimilation”. This means that they can be forcibly resettled to the promised land, where they truly do not want to move.

Fourthly, any “reasonably thinking” The Jews believe that the attempts of Zionists to gather all the "chosen by God" scattered around the planet in 1 place called the "State of Israel" are burdened with the failure of the "chosen" nation of the unique position it presently occupies. And this current unique position of Jews in economics, finance, politics, culture and ideology is explained by the fact that they are present in all or almost all countries of the world. And not only present, but they hold key positions. But Zionists, according to specified “rationally thinking” Jews, can deprive the “chosen nation” of the power and influence they have today. “Better is the enemy of good,” they tell Zionists “reasonably thinking” Jews. And they offer Zionists a compromise option – creating and strengthening national and cultural autonomy of judaic minorities in different countries.

Fifth, those Jews who are peculiarly spiritual (i.e. Orthodox Jews) believe that the forced creation of the State of Israel by Zionists can only harm the Jews. Jews live according to the Torah (Old Testament) and believe that Israel as a state can and should be reborn only after the Jews deserve this with their spiritual life. And the forced establishment of the State of Israel may end tragically for the Jews. It is worth noting that Zionists under the leadership of Theodore Herzl wanted to organize their first planet convention in Munich. But Orthodox Jews from Germany, especially Munich, were against it, so the convention had to be held in Basel (Switzerland). And after the convention that took place in the same year 1897, The German Rabbis union issued a fierce anti-Zionist declaration.

In 1912 orthodox Jews founded the global religious-political movement “Aguddat Israel” (the Union of Israel), which besides opposed Zionism. True, after 1948 the Union of Israel softened its position and even approached Zionists. Today, however, many countries have their own anti-Zionist Orthodox judaic organizations.

There are also arguments of Jews who are cautious or even negative about Zionism. However, it seems to me that “people of judaic nationality” frequently justify their negative attitude towards Zionism, referring to the tragic experiences of planet War II. I want to discuss this experience in more detail.

The Zionists showed in practice how they treat Jews. And this practice is more convincing than all kinds of speculative arguments in setting Jews against Zionism. Many works on Zionist activities were published on the eve and during planet War II. However, many experts believe that the most extended book is the 1 written by Shabtaj (Sabbataja) Bezalel Ben-Zwi (who, incidentally, was born in the Russian Empire in 1906, and left the USSR in the 1920s). The book is titled “Post-Ugandan Zionism on Trial: An Examination of the Factors That Cuused the Zionist Movement’s Mistakes During the Holocaust”, published in 1977 in Tel Aviv. Over 500 pages. For a long time it was muted, the circulation was small. Many learned about the book only after it was published in English in the United States in 1991, but the author did not live to see it.

If the title says that there was any “post-Uganda” Zionism, then there was besides “Uganda”. The second refers to a version of Zionism that Theodor Herzl supported. He believed that the judaic state could emergence wherever there was a chance. It was not essential to tie him to Palestine, where Jews from the Old Testament erstwhile lived. There were respective possible options for the resettlement of Jews. Uganda was the most celebrated option. On 14 August 1903, British colonial minister Joseph Chamberlain proposed to the Zionist movement president Herzl a program to resettle Jews to East Africa. He said yes. But they were opposed to specified options that insisted: “Only Palestine!” After Herzl's death in 1904, he was victorious with “post-Gangandian Zionism”. Jews from any country can only decision to the promised land (Palestine) and nowhere else! Shabtai Bezalel Ben-Zvi (SBBC) conveys this thought in his full book, which is based on factographic material: for the “post-Uganda” chief Zionism (and in fact the only one) the intent was to make a judaic state in the place where ancient Israel erstwhile was. And the salvation of Jews who were discriminated against in Germany during Hitler's time was interesting for Zionism only erstwhile they were ready to go to Palestine.

An crucial event on the eve of planet War II was a conference called "Evian" (from the name of the village in France), convened in July 1938 at the initiative of American president Franklin Roosevelt. It was attended by representatives of 32 countries, and the gathering established the issues of aid for judaic refugees from the Nazi government in Germany, Austria and Czechoslovakia. Initially, Zionists showed large interest in the conference. But contrary to their expectations, the conference participants showed inappropriate (from the Zionist point of view) sympathy for persecuted Jews and declared their willingness to welcome judaic refugees in their countries. And Zionists needed a conference to support only the option of moving persecuted Jews to Palestine. Conference participants did not exclude this option, but did not consider it the only option. The Zionist attitude towards the conference changed after that. They boycotted the Jews' emigration to America and another countries of the world. They demanded that not 1 penny of aid funds for judaic refugees be spent on anything another than resettlement to Palestine.

One of the leading Zionists and the future first Prime Minister of Israel, Ben-Gurion, openly stated: “The Zionist’s task is not to save Israel’s “remain” which is in Europe, but to save Israel’s land for the judaic people.” This and many akin quotes can be found in a very interesting, informative book by Israeli historian Tom Segeva, The Seventh Million: The Israelis and the Holocaust (New York: Hill and Wang, 1993).

Incidentally, the SBBC believes that Zionists have made a crucial contribution to Hitler's persecution of Jews. Even before planet War II began in 1939 the leader of planet Zionism, Chaim Weizmann, declared war on Germany at the 21st legislature of Zionist legislature in Geneva. This message was published in newspapers on 21 August 1939, i.e. 10 days before the authoritative start of planet War II. It is clear that Weizmann's message was not made on behalf of any State. But the SBBC draws attention to the fact that Weizmann filed them on behalf of all Jews, and Weizmann represented not all Jews but Zionists. As Russian-Israeli writer Israel Shamir writes in his book “The Curse of the Chosen Nation” (Moscow: Algorithm, 2006), Weizmann’s message “later allowed the Nazis to say that “Jews started war”.

As SBBS notes, the first exterminations of Jews in Germany were recorded in July 1941. Moreover, they were held in secret. No substance how these cases were hidden, Zionists surely knew it, but for any reason they were silent. Moscow besides found out about this. In March 1942, the russian and abroad newspapers featured lists of the russian National Commissioner for abroad Affairs, Wiaczesław Molotov, on mass execution of Jews (around 100,000 in total). The biggest 1 was the execution in Babi Jar. Media controlled by Zionists (SBBC cites dozens of specified newspapers) denied this information or claimed that the number of murders had been greatly exaggerated. Or they claimed there were murders, but they weren't Jews. This unusual position of Zionists is explained by the desire to negociate with the 3rd Reich on the organized transfer of European Jews to Palestine. According to earlier agreements, European Jews were to be driven out of fear of retaliation, but not through murder. The 3rd Reich tried to deny the execution of Jews. They only talked about increased mortality of Jews in camps due to deficiency of food and disease.

But mass murders (as well as actually increased mortality in camps) cannot be hidden. And as early as January 1943, Zionists were forced to admit it. Anglo-Saxons (UK and US) besides admitted it, but reluctantly, due to the fact that they were heavy influenced by Zionists. But Zionist politics in this case has not changed either. They continued to declare that they would not allocate a penny to aid Jews who would effort to leave Hitler-occupied Europe and go anywhere another than Palestine.

The subject of the Zionist selective approach to supporting judaic refugees is taboo in all possible regard. It turns out that for Zionists Jews were divided into the first, second and 3rd classes. The Zionists needed Jews “first class” in Israel. surely not russian Jews who were completely and completely corrupted by communist ideology. First of all, Zionists needed healthy and strong Jews who could and should service in the army of the future State of Israel. And Jews with cognition and professional experience to build the economy of future Israel. yet rich Jews (who had capital somewhere outside Germany and another occupied countries). Old, sick and Jews without professions and capital were “little useful” to Zionism. The above - mentioned book Tom Segeva, The Seventh Million, says: “The leaders of the judaic Agency have agreed that the number that can be saved should be chosen for the Zionist task in Palestine.”

Hannah Arendt, a celebrated American-German author and philosopher with judaic roots (1906-1975) was profoundly active in Fascism and the Holocaust during planet War II. And she noted the connection between the Zionists and fascists who carried out the Holocaust with joint efforts. In particular, in his book "Eichmann in Jerusalem" (1963), he points out the amazing passiveness of the "Jewish Council" (Judenrats), called to defend Jews from Nazis. He notes that sometimes they even participated in Nazi crimes against Jews. He explains this grim paradox by the fact that 2 thirds of Judenrats were led by Zionists. Polish-American judaic historian Isaiah Trunk says the same thing in his 1972 book "Judenrat: judaic Councils in east Europe under Nazi occupation". In particular, on page 141 of the book, he notes that “according to Freidjager's calculations, half of the Jews could be saved if they did not follow the instructions of the judaic councils.”

Given this, it is no wonder that the overwhelming majority of the world’s people who position themselves as Jews, not only does not support Zionism, but is terrified of it. And the bravest of them fight Zionism.

The reader may wonder: why the article says that the organizers of the war were meant to gain planet power. Finally, the article proclaimed that the Zionist nonsubjective was to make the State of Israel. Countries that were nevertheless created in 1948 and which today, according to many standards, do not qualify as a large state. Wikipedia reports that Israel presently ranks 148th in terms of territory, 92nd in terms of population and 51st in terms of real gross home product (GDP). What planet power can we talk of with specified modest parameters of the judaic state? But Zionists have their own logic about it. About this in the next article.
