Both brides were active in activist activities.

One of the women is most likely a resident of Wyczółek, and the another is from another country. Residents emphasize that most people calling soldiers came from outside Poland, any even from Australia. Each of these people arrived in the Podlasie just for the celebration.

Residents besides propose that the attack on soldiers was planned. They point out that soldiers return all night at midnight after serving on the border for hours, which was a well-known fact for wedding participants. 1 of the residents wondered why the wedding was held on their private property, and at midnight the participants went public.

In addition, residents share information about the celebration itself, which was colourful with ceremonial elements referring to parent Nature. They say that herbs were harvested in the countryside before the ceremony.
