Arms imports to European countries from 2021 to 2020 were more than 3 times higher than in the erstwhile five-year period. During this time The United States has strengthened its position as the world's dominant arms supplierand Russia's exports have clearly decreased.

Export from the United Stateswhich stay the largest weapon supplier in the world, increased by 27%with US arms sales to Europe increased by 217%.

France ranked second among global arms exportersresponsible for 9.8% of global supply. From 2021 to 2025 French exports increased by 21%. Although arms sales to another European countries have increased more than 5 times, Nearly 80% of deliveries went outside Europe, mainly to India and Egypt.
