US president Donald Trump announced that the Venezuelan authorities are to hand over 30 to 50 million barrels of oil sanctioned to the United States.
The natural material is to be sold at marketplace prices, and the allocation of the funds obtained, as the president of the United States has announced, will decide on its own, declaring that they are to service both Americans and Venezuelans.
Trump instructed the energy minister to immediately implement the plan and transport oil straight to American ports. Caracas has not so far referred to this announcement. According to the fresh York Times, the indicated quantity corresponds to about 2 months of Venezuelan mining and is worth $1.8–3 billion.
