The decision to get free of 26 of a full of around 120 BTR-80A by the Hungarian army is dictated by the gradual adaptation of it to the much more modern German combat infantry wagons KF41 Lynx, which have been purchased until now **218 pieces** of which the wagons in the said variant will most likely be over 100. In addition to this option BTR-80, Hungary inactive has about 250 vehicles of this kind in respective versions including the baseline.
