“Łucznik” Brony mill - Radom sp. z o.o. was the only 1 of the arms companies to receive a statue of the winner of this year’s edition of “Employer Friendly to Workers”. The awards gala was held yesterday at the Presidential Palace.
The competition, organised by NSZZZ “Solidarity”, is covered by the honorary patronage of president Andrzej Duda. It was from his hands that the winner received the statue on 18 June at the Presidential Palace of Seweryn Figurski, p.o. president of the Management Board of the weapon Factory.
President Duda stressed that the most valuable thing in this competition is that all candidates study employees. "This is simply a verdict issued by people who – with them, for them and in their companies work daily, for whom these working conditions are something tangible," he said. The president recalled that so far 292 companies have been awarded in this competition, including employers present at this year's Gala.
The aim of the competition is to advance employers who stand out in the application of good practices in respect of compliance with labour law, in peculiar through employment stability, compliance with the principles of wellness and safety at work and the right to association with trade unions. Candidates study basic organisational units of “Solidarity” – in the case of the mill it was the Plant Commission of NSZZ “Solidarity”. The certificate can be utilized for 3 years.
- I'm sorry. The award received is valuable and exceptional for us, primarily due to the fact that it was our employees who pointed us out as the ones who deserved this award – says Mr. president of the Board of Directors of the Seweryn Figurski Arms Factory. “We are trying to make the weapon mill an attractive and friendly place of work, especially since it is our employees and their commitment that we owe to a large degree today's advanced marketplace position.
The company, which operates in various areas, employs nearly 600 employees of many specializations: from device operators to constructors, technologists, administrative staff or specialists specified as finance, logistics, trade or marketing. For respective years, employment in the plant has gradually increased, which is affected by increased production and continuous improvement of the Company. "We are very pleased that the weapon mill is being perceived as 1 of the most attractive employers in the region," stressed Figurski. – It is surely affected by the stableness of employment, additional benefits, comfort of work and a very good atmosphere in our plant.
The increase in the number of employees is besides crucial for the task under the name “Development of the production capacity of the “Łuknik” weapon mill – Radom Sp. z o. o.”, which aims to increase the production capacity of the plant.
