We will table an amendment eliminating the “freezing” of the Sejm

Press conference of the Confederation on the liquidation of the “freezer” of the Sejm, with the participation of Members Michał Wawr and Ryszard Wilk.

Michał Wawer:
– The fresh majority of the ruling process of democratising the Polish Sejm is going poorly. There were many promises. They were very noisy. And the practice is observed in the Sejm today.
On the 1 hand, there are rumours in the parliamentary corridors that the Confederacy as a club is to be cut out of membership in investigative committees accounting for the regulation of the Law and Justice. On the another hand, it has a session of the Sejm landing a draft amendment to the Rules of Procedure of the Sejm, which was to be a purely method document. changing the form of ballot from card to electronic. But it turned out that the fresh ruling majority can do what the Law and Justice utilized to do. I mean, after covering for something else, throw in any of your stuff.

– In this peculiar draft, it is simply a contribution limiting the impact of the Sejm committees on the form of the budget. Limiting transparency of the process of adopting the budget in the Polish Sejm.

– It is hard to realize why there are not many another things that were promised to be changed in the Sejm’s regulations. And the Confederacy runs for help.

– On the first opportunity, we will submit an amendment eliminating the “freezing” of the Sejm. A proposal introducing the rule that any draft submitted in the Sejm, draft bill or resolution, will should be examined within a maximum of 6 months. Something that was not yet present in the Polish parliamentary system. What we haven't felt very powerfully for the last 8 years and we besides feel at the moment.

Richard Wilk:
– Poles were very enthusiastic about the announcement by the talker of the Sejm Szymon Holownia about the immediate liquidation of the alleged seismic freezer. However, we do many another things. And like today, We're fighting windmills, but you can't see any steps to indicate that this freezer will be eliminated.

– We have a very hard time for our economy, for citizens, but besides for entrepreneurs, especially those tiny ones. I'll just remind you that our 2 draft laws, i.e. the amount of tax-free and voluntary ZUS, are inactive waiting to be subjected to the first reading.

– And now imagine, every period erstwhile this draft bill on voluntary Social safety is situated in this “freezer” of the parliament, it is simply a period of PLN 2,000 for micro, tiny or tiny household businesswhich, regardless of whether it has any income from January, will gotta pay PLN 2,000.

– And all single month, erstwhile these laws are waiting to see the light of day, these are additional costs for Polish citizens who must bear in these hard times.

– We appeal to the Marshal Simon Holownia in the shortest time possible to unfreeze these laws, especially the 2 submitted by the Confederation, due to the fact that this is the right way to relieve Poles in these hard times.
