On 31 January 2023, an appeal proceeding was held in Lublin in the trial of Pastor Paweł Chojecki, editor-in-chief of tv Go Under the Current. Pastor of the fresh Covenant Church in Lublin is tried for words – a fewer sentences from sermons and another programs broadcast on his net television, which did not like the group of haters and the prosecutors of PiS.
The Court of Appeal decided to postpone the gathering on 13 April due to fresh evidence submissions submitted by the defence and a request for the proceeding of another Protestant pastors who confirm that what Pastor Chojecki says and believes fits into the widely understood Protestant stream. We remind you that if the Lublin Court of Appeal convicts the pastor, there is no anticipation of appeal in Poland.
During the hearing, recordings from the statements of Pastor Chojecki were presented to the audience, which allegedly offend the spiritual feelings of the auxiliary prosecutors. The audience gathered extensively with applause and applause accepted the views presented by the pastor. The audience was dominated by T-shirts and banners with inscriptions “free speech for everyone” and “Support Pastor Chojecki”.
Pastor Chojecki commented on the hearing:
"Today I was truly grateful to the advanced Court for allowing so many people present to learn the fact of Protestant and healthy political views. The prosecutors want to limit our freedom of speech, criticism of Catholic dogmas and criticism of the pope, bishops, and political criticism. We don't agree to that. God would have given those clippings, which are being released in court today, to the full of Poland. Besides, the audience reacted unequivocally to what she had the chance to hear in court, for which I have been judged for respective years.”


















Let us callback that the court of first instance sentenced Pastor Chojecki to 8 months of restrictions on freedom in the form of social work. In addition, the pastor must pay the costs of proceedings in the amount of almost PLN 21 thousand.
Pastor Paweł Chojecki repeatedly argued to the court that it was not intended to offend president Duda, for whom he erstwhile voted, but constructive criticism, in order to get the head of the state to reflect and fulfill election promises. In the pre-Christmas program “Will Pastor Chojecki apologise to president Duda?” On tv Go Under Current Pastor Chojecki apologized to the president for the hard words he had made to him, and he felt that given how president Duda was doing now, after Russia's invasion of Ukraine, he would no longer call him a coward.
Referring to accusations of insulting spiritual feelings of Catholics, Pastor Chojecki points out that as a Protestant he criticizes the dogmas of the Catholic Church, indicating that they are incompatible with the Bible. As for accusations of insulting Catholic spiritual objects, it should be stressed that these allegations besides concern words – there was no real insulting of Catholic worship objects. The another charges are called curiosal.
On November 22, 2022, the appeal court postponed the case until January 31, as the auxiliary prosecutor submitted further recordings to indicate that Pastor Chojecki was continuing his activity (sic!). Four appeals were made to the judgement of the first instance. In defence of Pastor Chojecki, the appeal was made by the law firm of legal advisor Adam Wróblewski, the law firm of patron Andrzej Sawicki and the law firm of patron Andrzej Turczyn. The appeal was besides made by prosecutor Catherine Urban, demanding jail time!
Who are the accusers of Pastor Chojecki?
Some of them are being punished for harassing the pastor, his household and the fresh Covenant Church in Lublin. They did not even spare the pastor's grandson, calling him “Antichrist”.
They fluttered the church's seat, calling for physical force against the pastor. They lead an abusive environment of tv Go Under Current websites on which there are frequently threats and threats punishable by editorial members.
One of the accusers was found guilty by the Court of First Instance of insulting Jews, anti-Semitic phrases were included in the titles of the material which they handed over to the prosecution, and 1 of the accusers wrote anti-Semitic books ("Smite awakens the fact that during specified a prestigious cultural event as the Historical Book Fair, anti-Semitic publications were promoted, among others, the Ritual Mord in Rzeszów? Historical investigation or the Sages of Zion — fresh beginning by Radosław Patlewicz” – for WP book). The comments of this environment besides include anti-Ukrainian content.

Pastor Paweł Chojecki. Raised as an atheist. In adulthood, however, he decided to become a Christian.
Today he is the pastor and founder of the fresh Covenant Church in Lublin, as well as the creator and editor-in-chief of net TV, magazine and publishing home “Go Under the Current”.
In 1986, in the Vistula Hall in Krakow, at the age of 23, Paweł Chojecki makes the most groundbreaking decision of his life. He realizes that Jesus is not just a character from history, but he lives now and is close to all man. “Then I realized that Jesus died on the Cross to pay the punishment for my sins to free me from eternal hell. God in the Bible said that I cannot gain salvation with good works, that he who can save me is only Jesus—and he wants to save me for free, regardless of my works! Then my wife and I asked Jesus to save us here and now," says Pastor Chojecki today.
In 1988, together with his friends, he founded the Lublin Christian Association “Consolidation” and began publishing the monthly “Consolidation” and printing Christian books in tiny editions on the duplicator.
He rapidly discovers, however, that the Roman Catholic Church is not based on the Bible, but on human dogma which contradicts it. He realizes that it is not the Bible, but the Magisterium of the Church is the highest authority in this organization, and for salvation according to Catholicism it is not adequate what Jesus did on the Cross of Golgot, but the sacraments and alleged good deeds are needed.
In 1989, he decides to leave Catholicism.
The church is founded by the Christian Community of Reconciliation and is headed by the Publishing home of Reconciliation.
In 1996, the pastor appoints the fresh Covenant Church in Lublin, which is entered into the registry of churches and another spiritual associations.
In 2003, Paweł Chojecki begins publishing a Christian social-political monthly “Go Under the Current” and becomes its editor-in-chief
In 2008, Pastor Chojecki begins online tv activities Go Under the Current.
8 years later, on February 1, 2016, Paweł Chojecki competes with a regular programme on IPP TV, devoted to commenting on current topics. Live viewing is frequently at the planet top of YouTube. The programs scope from respective 1000 to respective 100 1000 viewers. The hallmark of the pastor becomes a swinging in front of the fresh Testament cameras, which IPP tv has since sent many thousands of copies across Poland!
Pastor Chojecki initiated the Megachurch project, an initiative to evangelize Poland based on 4 pillars: strong local churches, modern media, Christian university and Christians in politics.
The motto of his ministry is, "Your home is devouring me" from John 2:17.
