Congratulations to Polish pilots who yesterday in the USA completed the first phase of training on F-35 aircraft. Professionalism and amazing experience – this is simply a success – wrote Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamish. The American training was completed by the first 2 Polish fighter pilots F-35A Lightning II "Huszar" who will scope Poland as shortly as next year.

F-35 Lightning II is simply a 5th generation fighter that was ordered by the Polish Army in 2020. For $4.6 billion, Americans will deliver 32 aircraft, 1 Pratt & Whitney F135 backup engine, ground handling equipment, and a stationary training strategy consisting of, among another things, 8 Mission Simulator. This amount besides includes a logistics package, an IT strategy for managing the operation of F-35A Lightning II aircraft, and training in US centres 24 pilots from Poland and about 90 method personnel. In addition, the contract includes the modernization of machinery during their usage by the Polish Army.

The first F-35 is due to arrive in our country in 2026. They will be stationed at 32th Tactical Aviation Base in Łask and 21st Tactical Aviation Base in Świdwin. The transportation of all 32 ordered machines will last until 2030.
