On the 80th anniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising, our editorial board prepared a peculiar edition of “Polish Armed Forces”. The publication could be obtained during authoritative celebrations. Our daydays are besides available electronic.
Heroes of Warsaw Uprising Awards have been awarded since 2016 to people and institutions who advance in a peculiar way cognition of Polish past and contemporary patriotism. Anna Putkiewicz, Deputy manager of the Military Publishing Institute and editor-in-chief of the “Polish Armed Forces. History”, stresses that our publications are primarily to convey cognition about the Polish Army. – If we were to make a ranking of the words most frequently quoted on various occasions, the first place would undoubtedly be the conviction Marshal Józef Piłsudski: “A nation that does not respect its past does not deserve the respect of the present and has no right to the future.” However, it is hard to respect something you do not know or know. We presume that it is impossible to learn about our native past without the past of the Polish weapon – emphasizes Anna Putkiewicz.
