At the time of the war in the East, we are more afraid about Germany than that threat. We began to feed another German-speaking feeling: Schadenfreude, that is, the hard-hidden satisfaction that Putin hit them harder than we did, due to the fact that we never had any illusions about him, and Germans did. I apologize for the individual nuisance, but as a individual born in the Silesian Polish-German border, I see myself in this as a child. My parents utilized German in front of me erstwhile they wanted me not to realize something, which caused me to just mock that language. I considered him to be something against me, even if my grandma softened everything I expected: “Lass doch, das ist ein Kind” (leave him, that child).

Raised in Katowice in all German city I feel any – not so good – closeness. Part of my family, like in Silesia, lives there, but everyone about the Germans (in bad Germany) says ‘they’.
